Ohio Key, located in Monroe County, Florida, is also known as Sunshine Key, named after the popular campground that occupies much of the island. Formerly referred to as Little Duck Key, that name now applies to another island closer to the Seven Mile Bridge. Ohio Key is part of the Ohio Key National Wildlife Refuge, protecting its natural environment on the southern side of U.S. Route 1. With over 1,100 feet of beachfront along the Gulf, Ohio Key offers serene views and a peaceful retreat for visitors looking to enjoy a quiet, nature-filled experience in the Florida Keys.
