Description

North Peninsula State Park, located along State Road A1A just four miles south of Flagler Beach, invites visitors to enjoy nearly three miles of pristine Atlantic shoreline. With unspoiled sands and refreshing waters, this park is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and surf fishing. From May through September, sea turtles, including loggerheads, greens, and the occasional leatherback, make their way to these shores to nest, creating a special experience for nature enthusiasts. Across from the beach, Smith Creek Landing offers access to the Intracoastal Waterway, where visitors can fish or crab along its peaceful banks. Cyclists can make use of the park’s bicycle maintenance station before exploring the scenic Ormond Loop, and hikers will find the two-mile Coastal Strand Trail an ideal place to spot wildlife such as gopher tortoises, indigo snakes, and diverse bird species. North Peninsula State Park is a haven for both relaxation and exploration along Florida’s beautiful Atlantic coast.
